As missionaries with Light to the Nations in Brazil, they are helping to plant and lead a church and regional training base in Garanhuns, Pernambuco.
After 5 years in Rio de Janeiro, the Dalton’s moved to Garanhuns, Pernambuco (in northeastern Brazil) in February 2009. They helped establish a new local church that  serves as a northeastern training/ministry base for Light to the Nations. Garanhuns is located in the heart of many Project 153 communities. Project 153 is a missions initiative of Light to the Nations to plant or support the planting of a vibrant local church in the least reached communities of Brazil. All 153 of the cities have a population of at least 10,000, but less than 3% of the inhabitants are evangelical. Of the 153 cities, 142 are located in the nine northeastern states.
